Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility at CyPro
Introduction
CyPro provides cyber security services for a range of public and private sector clients. We understand that our own actions and the work undertaken for our clients will impact the wider world, and we take that responsibility seriously.
We approach this responsibility by ensuring that what we do is sustainable; across our direct environmental impact, our communities, our clients and our people. As with any endeavour, we recognise that we are on a journey in this commitment, expanding our awareness and delivering improvements iteratively.
Our commitment is for CyPro to be a socially responsible company. We want to make a difference both for our clients and our wider communities.
We address our corporate social responsibility in four ways:
- We seek to minimise the impact we have on the environment.
- We support the communities where we live and work and contribute to charities that make a difference in people’s lives.
- We create and maintain a working environment that celebrates diversity and inclusion so that all of our people can thrive; and
- We always make sure that we operate with the highest professional rigour.
Our Environment
Building relationships with existing and prospective clients is essential to the way we do business. Whenever possible and safe to do, CyPro strongly believes that working side-by-side with our clients delivers the best results. We encourage our consultants to travel to client sites whenever appropriate.
We acknowledge that our preferred way of working impacts the environment, and we are aware of the steps to mitigate this impact.
To better understand our impact on the environment, CyPro has implemented the tools to analyse our carbon footprint resulting from flight emissions; we aspire to extend this analysis to cover the impact of our direct, indirect energy, and other selected indirect emissions. Summary reports on our environmental impact are shared and reviewed at our AGM.
CyPro understands that a conscientious and responsible approach to business is essential to the company’s continued growth. Therefore, we are taking practical action to mitigate our impact on the environment by engaging with the market to purchase carbon credits to offset our flight emissions. We are also continuing to raise awareness internally of the effects of our business by leveraging company-wide communications.
Our Community
Many of our consultants are committed to performing charitable activities, and we proactively encourage and support this.
Recent charitable events supported by CyPro include:
- The London Marathon;
- The Longest Day Golf Challenge; and
- The UK Cyber Security Council.
Diversity and Inclusion
We are committed to embedding diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our business, both for ourselves and our clients. It is unquestionably the right thing to do, and we believe CyPro is a better place to work due to our diversity and inclusion commitments.
Increasing diversity gives our clients and us a broader range of experience, expertise, and attitudes. An equal focus on inclusion enables us to unlock the value of a diverse workforce by making people comfortable to speak up, ensuring all voices are heard and all perspectives are valued.
This is how we can develop truly innovative ideas and maximise the potential of our people. Through diversity and inclusion, we can hire the best people and help all our staff develop over long careers at CyPro. CyPro will be more competitive, win more work, and deliver better outcomes for our clients.
Professionalism
CyPro is a team of cyber security experts, and we are proud of our open, honest and professional approach in all that we do.
We align with our client’s strategic objectives and, wherever possible, take the most economically advantageous approach, evaluating the total cost of products and services alongside the strategic alignment, capability, sustainability and feasibility of solutions.
We ensure this approach is embedded throughout our work through our culture, training, and quality management – and targeted policies in critical areas, such as bribery and whistleblowing.
