Conferences should be a top priority for every cyber security professional. Not only are they one of the best ways to stay up to date with current security threats, but they also offer an invaluable chance to network with many industry peers all under one roof.
Why attend a cyber security conference?

Black Hat
Perhaps the most well-known of the cyber conferences, Black Hat has been drawing the crowds since 1997, offering the latest information on security research, development and industry trends.
Visitors are encouraged to collaborate and attend a variety of briefings and training sessions held by industry insiders. The event itself offers a friendly, vendor-neutral environment.
This year’s Black Hat USA will take place on 1st-6th August 2020 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Black Hat Asia will be at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore 31st March – 3rd April 2020 and Black Hat Europe will take place 9th-12th November at a venue yet to be announced.

RSA Conference
This series of IT security events take place in various locations across the USA, Asia Pacific and Japan. If you choose to attend the San Francisco event in the Moscone Centre 24th-28th Feb 2020, you’ll be able to hear from over 700 speakers including Tax Rabin and Dr Lorrie Cranor. There is even a special performance from magicians Penn & Teller.
With a focus on innovation and networking, you can keep your finger on the pulse and make some valuable connections too. The Asia Pacific and Japan RSA Conference will take place 14th-16th July 2020 at the ever-popular Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
InfoSecurity Conference
This is probably Europe’s leading cyber security and information security event. This year it will take place on 2nd-4th June at Olympia London, UK.
Included in your ticket you’ll get access to over 200 training sessions allowing you to build a personalised agenda to suit your cyber security interests. From technical insights on how to manage the latest threats to building resilience within an organisation, there is a wide programme of talks and workshops to choose from.

This year’s conference will be held 16th-20th March 2020 in the Print Media Academy in Heidelberg, Germany. In the absence of large corporate sponsors, this event focuses on the nitty-gritty of working in the world of cyber security.

First Annual Conference
This international non-profit conference takes place at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel, Montreal between from 21st-26th June 2020.
The event aims to promote worldwide cooperation between response teams and encourages sharing goals, ideas and information on cyber security. The 5-day event includes a mixture of keynote presentations, meet-ups, vendor exhibits and special interest groups.

The Research Symposium
The Florida Centre for Cybersecurity will host its annual conference in Miami this year on the 1st and 2nd of April. Taking place at the Florida International University, attendees will hear from speakers on the current cyber security research being carried out in Florida universities.
There is also the opportunity to network with research students and professors. This two-day event could be highly valuable for any cyber security experts who want to stay ahead of the curve.
